Packaging & Sustainability

A networking card is a small object with a long supply chain — paper, PVC, NFC chips, ink, foam, freight. We publish this page because trust products should not hide their footprint. It explains what your kit arrives in, what every component is made of, and the three commitments we have made for 2026 and 2027.

1. What your kit arrives in

Every Wavelink kit ships in a rigid, matte-laminated cardboard box with a paper insert — no single-use plastic foam, no poly bags, no plastic window film. The box is sized to protect the cards and stand with paper honeycomb padding that is recycled and recyclable. The QR activation card inside is printed on the same stock as the cards themselves.

3. Shipping footprint

All international kits ship with DHL, whose GoGreen programme offsets transport emissions. We consolidate production runs to reduce per-unit freight, and we print regionally where the market supports it — China-market cards are produced for the Hangzhou market rather than air-freighted from Bangladesh.

4. The 2026–2027 commitments

5. Honest limits

We have not eliminated plastic: PVC remains the most durable card body at accessible prices, and NFC inlays are not plastic-free anywhere in the industry. We would rather state that plainly than greenwash. When a materially better composite reaches production quality, we will switch — and this page will say so with a date.

6. Questions

Our Sustainability Ambassador and Client Outreach lead, Mushfiqur, answers every packaging and materials question personally: [email protected].
